Projects

Our projects involve on-ground revegetation work as well as environmental education workshops, creek and mangrove cleanup days, and displays at community events. In 1997 we launched the successful Junior Landcare Programme in local primary schools and it continues to evolve. We are also involved as conservation representatives on a wide range of stakeholder committees and working groups on the Capricorn Coast.

CURRENT SITES

Our main aim is to restore and maintain native vegetation on several sites on the Capricorn Coast, including Farnborough Beach, Mulambin Beach, Alby Wooler Park, Waru (a reserve used for various events and available to all), and Rem Veg. We also make regular trips to Konomie (Nth Keppel Island) to carry out weeding and planting projects.
